The Barça players celebrating against Uruguay Tenerife / URUGUAY TENERIFE FS

There was no upset away in the Canary Islands as the Barça futsal side overcame the league’s second to bottom side Uruguay Tenerife with relative ease. Marc Carmona’s side had already beaten the island side earlier in the season in the Palau Blaugrana and they did the double over Tenerife with an impressive all round performance. An own goal from Adasat, two from Lozano and goals from Saad, Ari Santos, Wilde, Ferrao and Lin gave them an 8-1 in away from home, a perfect precursor to the upcoming Spanish Cup. The victory keeps up the pressure on leaders Inter Movistar and boosts confidence for the Cup competition which takes place next week in Ciudad Real.
