MVFC Berettyóújfalu (Hungary), Bakú United FC (England) and FC Lokomotiv Kharkov (Ukraine) drawn with FC Barcelona

The draw was made on Friday for the UEFA Elite Round that will be played at the Palau Blaugrana on November 19 to 23, with Barça sharing a group with MVFC Berettyóújfalu of Hungary, Bakú United FC of England and FC Lokomotiv Kharkov of Ukraine, with a place in the Final Four of the UEFA Futsal Cup on offer for the winner.

The opponents

The best known opponent is Baku United of England. The side originally formed by Azerbaijani students living in London includes no fewer than seven Spaniards, some of which are well known the Barça futsal community. These include Carlos Muñoz, who was at FCB from 2008 to 2011. The side also has a Spanish manger in José Manuel Jiménez.

MVFC Berettyóújfalu are the current Hungarian champions having now won the title three times (2014, 2009 and 2008) and their entire squad is from Hungary. They also won the Hungarian Cup in 2009 and 2012 and the Super Cup in 2009.

FC Lokomotiv Kharkov are in the competition for the second time. They also shared a group with Barça last season in Pardubice (Czech Republic), in a game that the Catalans won 6-1.

Match-ups

Although the exact dates have yet to be confirmed, the order of play has been decide. On the first day: MVFC Berettyóújfalu v FC Lokomotiv Kharkov and FC Barcelona v Baku United FC.

On the second day: Baku United FC v MVFC Berettyóújfalu and FC Barcelona v FC Lokomotiv Kharkov.

And on the final day: FC Lokomotiv Kharkov v Baku United FC and MVFC Berettyóújfalu v FC Barcelona. The exact days and kick offs will be announced shortly.
