Magna Navarra v FC Barcelona: Three valuable points (2-6)

Bateria (3), Lozano and Saad (2) on target in Pamplona The home side trailed all game, but did get back to 2-3 after 30 minutes

FC Barcelona have got back to winning on the road after the setback in Peñíscola a fortnight ago. And it’s never easy to get three points at Magna Navarra.

Things got off to a fine start with a Bateria goal after just three minutes and the same player rounded off a fine half by getting the second as well, a firmly struck left-footer that scorched past home keeper Asier.

The home side didn’t really get into their stride until the second half, when Cristian was called upon to make some fine saves, but he was eventually beaten by an FCB player, Marc Tolrà, who is on loan to Magna Navarra. Sergio Lozano almost immediately re-established the two-goal lead with a penalty moments later, and then Jesulito pulled another back for the Pamplona based side with what promised to be ten tense minutes left to play.

But the tension was soon eased when Bateria finished off a fine counter-attack to complete his hat trick, and with Navarra fielding a rush goalie, Barça caught them out twice with goals from Saad to seal a victory that was not always as comfortable as the final scoreline suggests.
