On Thursday evening, the LNFS was in the Camp Nou pressroom to present games two and three of the final. As in Murcia, league president Javier Lozano was joined by the two managers, Marc Carmona and Duda. While in Murcia it was the two captains that spoke, Javi Rodríguez and Kike, this time the representatives were Sergio Lozano and Dani Salgado.

The following are some of the highlights of the press conference:

“We are under the positive pressure that wearing the FC Barcelona crest implies.”

“We are comforted by the fact we had such a good season, but we are playing for a title that means the end of ten months of hard work.”

“We have 24 more hours to decide about Ari. We’ll test him tomorrow. I guess he’ll push us to at least let him warm up and then we’ll decide.”

“We have tried to be the same team in all competitions. We have tried to stay loyal to our style. I think that both teams have approached the game by showing just the one face.”

“The play-offs will be very tight. You’ve seen what’s happening in the basketball. I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate my colleague, Xavi Pascual, for what he’s doing in the endseason, and for yesterday’s game in Madrid. Going back to our final, I still think, as I did in Murcia, that it’s unlikely that this series will end 3-0”

“We have to prevent Murcia’s virtues from showing through. El Pozo demand a lot of us defensively. We have the advantage of winning the first match but that won’t change our approach.”

“With such an important target as the League, fitness is no excuse. People who have to work 12 hours straight have a right to complain, we don’t!”

“I’m comfortable with my team-mates this year. They are the ones who help me play. I still enjoyed celebrating the title in Lleida even though I didn’t score. If I score and help the team, so much the better, but if I don’t, it doesn’t matter.”

“Although we didn’t defend as well as we have done this season in game one, we still won the match.”

“At the end of last season I was playing for Segovia and the Palau was packed. I expect a similar atmosphere to last year. I hope the fans can bring the house down at the Palau”

Duda: “We have only lost three away games this season. My team won’t be frightened by the Palau.”

“We have to stay brave and improve the little details.”

“Perhaps we were a bit fresher in the fitness sense. They’ve played more games, especially the UEFA Futsal Cup, which were very demanding.”

“One of the virtues of Barça Alusport is strategy. They’re perfect like that.”

“The good thing about the other day is that we had a super team like Barça against the ropes.”

“We’re only thinking about tomorrow’s game, because we want the final to go back to Murcia.”
