FC Bacelona Alusport have agreed to terms with Lobelle Santiago for the transfer of Jesús Nazaret Aicardo ‘Aicardo’. The player, born on December 4 in 1988 (23), joins the the Azulgranas after a historic year, where the team won four out of five possible titles - Spanish Cup, UEFA Futsal Cup, Copa del Rey and the Liga.

Emerging talent

Aicardo started playing futsal with Tiempo Libre and he later joined Géminis (2005/06) and Virgili in the following season (2006/07 and 2007/08 - he was on loan to Lobelle this season). In the 2008/09 season he became an official Lobelle player.

Aicardo is at the perfect point in his career to make the jump to a big team like FC Barcelona Alusport. The player has featured for the Spanish international team on seven occasions, he won the Spanish Super Cup in 2010 (MVP of the tournament). He was also named the best young player of the season in the LNFS in 2010. His team finished fifth in the Liga, he featured in the Spanish Cup final and he finished the season with 19 goals.

International success

On the international level, he was called up to the Spanish team for the first time on September 20 of last year against Guatemala. He finished the match with two goals. Months later he was named to the Spanish team for Brazil’s Grand Prix - a tournament that he won. His most recent match with the Spanish national team was in the European  Championship match against Croatia.

Best young player of the year (2010)

Aicardo was named the best young player of the year in 2010. The award, given by Umbro Futsal, was also won by the Brazilian Thiaguinho and the Russian Prudnikov. Aicardo also won the award of the best young player of the LNFS in the 09/10 season.
