The last training session of the season was held at the Palacio de los Deportes in Murcia this Sunday afternoon. It was a special session, the last one with captain Javi Rodríguez among the Barça ranks. The captain is convinced that Barça will “win this Liga” title while manager Marc Carmona, on the other hand, said that Barça, despite losing the fourth game of the final series, “played a good game.”

Here are the statements made by Rodríguez and Carmona during the pre-match press conference:

Marc Carmona:

“We lived through the same thing last year, it’s not a new thing to have to play a fifth and definitive match in the Liga Final series. The difference now, however, is that we’re playing away from the Palau.”

“I don’t believe that the team lost because we’re playing away from home. We have to improve a few aspects of our play. In general, however, I’m satisfied with the game we played yesterday. We have to avoid repeating the same errors. I believe that of the five goals they scored we could have avoided three of them and we have to focus on that.”

Javi Rodríguez:

“It’s a bit unjust that after the long season both teams have had that it all comes down to one 40-minute match. But we’re eager to do a good job and I believe that we’ll end up winning the this title.”

“It doesn’t matter that we lost the fourth match. It’s clear that they are a great team and even though they weren’t at the level they showed in the Spanish Super Cup, they’ve had a fantastic season.”

“I’ve reached the end of my road with Barça and I want to leave with this Liga title. For me it’s just another game but my time with the team will come to an end. I’m mentally prepared for it. I want to win this Liga.”
