On April 26 of 2014, in Bakú, Barça Alusport reached the pinnacle of European futsal. They did it two years prior in Lleida, and this time in the final of the UEFA Futsal Cup against Dinamo Moscow Barça won thanks to goals from Fernandao, Lozano and Sedano, the MVP of the final. The victory saw Barça lift its second European crown, and they dedicated it to Tito Vilanova.

On the way to the final, Barça cruised through the Elite Round. They won all three group stage matches, against Lokomotiv Járkov, Targo Mures and ERA-PACK Chrudim, and thus made it to the Final Four in Bakú.

They were forced to extra time in the following two matches of the competition. In the semifinals against Araz Naxçivan and in the final against Dinamo Moscow, Barça were made to dig deep to earn victories.

Sedano MVP in the final

The MVP of the final was the Madrid-born keeper, who was decisive with his saves. In the championship match, Barça battled from behind to tie the game and force extra time. Penalties were not needed seeing that Fernandao and Lozano fired Barça ahead. Sedano made it 2-5 in the dying minutes of the match.
