First experience of Dallas

The blaugranes carry out their first training session and enjoy an NBA game

The Barça B futsal team have started work in Dallas. After arriving in Texas via Miami, the blaugrana party, led by coach Andreu Plaza , took part in their first training session in preparation for their two friendly games against the USA and Mexico on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Illustrious visit

At the team’s breakfast was Dallas Mavericks general manager Donnie Nelson, son of legendary NBA coach Don Nelson. In addition, Nelson himself was in charge of the tour of the facilities where Barça will play both friendly games. Plaza’s squad took part in their first training session on American soil after spending time signing autographs for all the youngsters who had turned up to see them.

In the evening NBA basketball

In the evening the blaugrana party were able to see an NBA game live. The match was between the Dallas Mavericks and the Cleveland Cavaliers and a visiting side containing Lebron James and former blaugrana Anderson Varejao took their first win in 14 attempts away in Texas. The game was marked by James becoming the players with most assists in the history of the Cleveland franchise. The blaugranes were able to watch the first half of the game from the stands before moving to the VIP boxes at the Dallas Mavericks court where they all received a commemorative jersey from the Texan team.
