Center

An experienced player who stands out for bringing intensity to the game and bringing his presence to the paint

Vitor Faverani signed with FC Barcelona Lassa in January of the 2016/17 season. The center, born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, holds a Spanish passport and, thus, does not take up one of the team’s non-EU slots.

Faverani has played in Spain for most of his career, having begun in the lower categories of Unicaja Málaga until he debuted with the senior team in the 2008/09 season.

He also enjoyed stints at Zaragoza and Bruesa from 2004 to 2009.

From 2009 to 2011, the Brazilian big man played for UCAM Murcia before heading to Valencia Basket, which he helped lead to the final of the Eurocup.

As one of Spain’s top big men, Faverani garnered attention from the NBA, and in the 2013/14 season, he played for the Boston Celtics. His stay in the NBA was brief, however, and he returned to Murcia after spending the 2014/15 season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he won the Winner Cup.
