The Blaugrana win a tight match against Manresa and will play the final of the Catalan League this Sunday against MoraBanc Andorra (8.00pm CEST)

Barça Lassa to play the final of the Lliga Catalana having beaten BAXI Manresa by 78-63 in a close fought game. The game was decided in the final quarter after 30 minutes in which there was little to choose between the two teams. Ante Tomic, with 15 points, top scored for the blaugranes.

The game started with Barça Lassa very focused and in a dominant mood as they took a 7-0 lead. The game became more and more equal as BAXI Manresa scored 12 unanswered points to make it 11-16. The first quarter ended all square (16-16).

The second quarter, saw Svetislav Pesic’s men race ahead with 7 points but they were caught up by Manresa’s control of the rebound and the blaugranes went into the break with a two-point lead (35-33).

The scoreboard was close throughout the third quarter even though Barça Lassa were slightly in front. The blaugranes were more accurate than their rivals and this allowed them to head into the final quarter with six points to play with (59-53).

The advantage increased in the final quarter as the blaugranes controlled the last ten minutes. Pesic’s men moved ten points ahead and they ended up winning 78-63. On Sunday from 8.00pm CET, Barça Lassa will play the final of the Lliga Catalana against MoraBanc Andorra.
