Tyrese Rice: 'Signing for FC Barcelona is a step forward for me'

The Boston College graduate describes his first sensations after joining the club in an interview with Barça TV

Tyrese Rice has given his first interview to Barça TV since becoming a Barça Lassa player. “Signing for Barça is the best decision my family and myself” says the Boston College graduate. “This is a historic club and another step forward in my career. Bartzokas has asked me to bring the leadership. I have to keep the guys together on the floor and get everybody on the same page with the same goal.”

The 29-year-old point guard, who has experience of playing in Greece, Germany, Lithuania, Israel and Russia and plays internationally for Montenegro, is finding it very easy to adapt to this new adventure. “Everything is really smooth” he says. “Everyone is being really helpful. They’ve made it really, really easy to get adapted. It hasn’t been a struggle at all.”

He concludes by saying that “if you come here the people want you to win. You have to go out there and do what you do. It’s not something you haven’t worked for. You’ve just gotta win.”
