In what was a very tough game at an ever-difficult court, FC Barcelona Lassa fell to an 87-80 defeat at the hands of Morabanc Andorra on Sunday evening.

Tomic was Barça’s bright spark in the first quarter and at the start of the second, helping the team get their noses in front. Both in his creation of play and his finishing, the Croat was causing huge problems for the home side.

However, Morabanc’s accuracy from far meant that Barça trailed at the halfway point by 42 to 36.

Bartzokas opted for a more attacking setup at the start of the third but it did not go quite according to plan as the hosts began to become more ruthless in their game. Tomic’s fine individual display helped Barça reduce the margin from eight points to just two going into the final quarter.

For all of Barça’s efforts to overturn the game, the hosts were not to be breached as they extended their winning stroke on home territory, with the game finishing 87-80 in favour of Andorra.
