Pau Ribas made a superb return to the Barça Lassa fold / EUROLEAGUE.NET

FC Barcelona Lassa are through to the quarter-finals of the Euroleague following a 66-59 win over Zalgiris Kaunas.

In what was an even game, the fate of the duel was ultimately determined by Dorsey and Ribas who proved decisive in the third and fourth quarters

The home side, thanks to two trebles, raced to a 14-7 lead but the Catalans were able to quickly restore parity, as a scrappy first quarter ended 16-16.

Barça Lassa gave away possession all too frequently in teh second quarter which allowed the Lithuanians to take a six-point lead into the break.

As nervousness began to creep into the home side’s game Ribas and Dorsey began to impose themselves on the game as the Barça turnaround began to take shape, and five consecutive points from Satoransky gave the visitors a one-point advantage at the end of the third.

The lead continuously changed hands, that was until Ribas hit four successful trebles almost back-to-back. Towards the end of the game, Dorsey made some crucial rebounds to take his personal tally to 13 and seal Barça’s much-need victory.

The win seals Barça’s progression to the last eight of the Euroleague for an eleventh consecutive season.
