Satoransky in action against Andorra / ACB PHOTO

FC Barcelona Lassa put in a dominant display against Morabanc Andorra to earn their fifth straight league win which puts them at the summit of La Liga Endesa.

Barça got off to a flying start as a treble from Abrines put the visitors 6-17 ahead after just five minutes. Morabanc Andorra reacted well, however, and ended the first quarter just four points adrift (20-24). Barça’s accuracy from the three-point saw them maintain their narrow advantage going into the halfway stage – a treble from Doellman gave Xavi Pascual’s side ahead by seven points (40-47).

Andorra’s attempts to get back into the match were thwarted by a stubborn Barça defense who restricted the home team to just 13 points in the third quarter.

Starting the fourth quarter with a 22 point advantage, Barça entered the final stretch without any nerves. Demonstrative of this was a superb alley-oop between Ribas and Satoransky to establish a 65-84 lead with just a minute to go. A few freethrows from Abrines and a treble from Ribas wrapped up a convincing 66-89 win for the visitors, who are off to a perfect league start.
