FC Barcelona Lassa have overcome Herbalife Gran Canaria by 80-66 to book their place in the final of the Endesa Super Cup. Markus Eriksson was top scorer in the game with 16 points, nailing every single three pointer he attempted.

Xavi Pascual’s team started strongly and never looked back. Justin Doellman scored two early three pointers to help the blaugranes to an early 10-4 lead. Gran Canaria, to their credit, came back at the blaugranes and reduced the deficit to 16-13 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter Barça began well again with Brad Oleson notching up a three pointer. Doellman followed suit and despite mid quarter resurgence from Gran Canaria, the blaugranes went in at the break 41-32 up.

In the second half Xavi Pascual’s team once again pressed down hard on the accelerator, Tomic make his contribution to give Barça a commanding 69-36 lead at the end of the third quarter. With his team well ahead, Pascual gave Markus Eriksson a chance on his return from a serious knee injury. The Swede made the most of his chance, scoring 16 points and not missing a single three pointer with Barça booking their place in Saturday’s final.
