FC Barcelona Lassa v Lokomotiv-Kuban: Giant step towards the Final Four (82-70)

Xavi Pascual’s side leave themselves within just a victory of Berlin following a confident home display

FC Barcelona Lassa took a big step towards the Final Four in Berlin with an 82-70 win over Lokomotiv-Kuban on Tuesday night at Palau Blaugrana.

Xavi Pascual’s side now just need to win one more game in order to reach the Euroleague’s last four with the next game coming this Thursday.

The visitors started the game the brighter of the two, with Lokomotiv duo Malcolm Delaney and Anthony Randolph scoring 21 of their team’s 23 points in the first quarter to give their team a four-point advantage.

However, the introduction of Álex Abrines quickly changed the course of the game.  The Mallorcan hit 15 points, including three consecutive trebles in the second quarter to give Barça a 42-36 lead going into the interval.

Barça really began to take off in the third period, this time Satoransky and Tomic helping the team pull away from their rivals, while Oleson’s basket in the fourth quarter gave the home side an 82-59 lead on 37 minutes.

The visitors eventually managed to make the score slightly more respectable (82-70) but Barça come away with a big win which leaves them within touching distance of the Final Four.
