FC Barcelona Lassa take 2–0 series lead with 73–68 win over Laboral Kutxa Baskonia

A game that could have gone either way falls to the Catalans, who are now one victory away from a trip to the ACB finals

FC Barcelona took at 2-0 lead in their best-of-five ACB semifinal series by beating Laboral Kutxa Baskonia, 73–68, at the Palau Blaugrana on Sunday.

The Catalans led early on but Baskonia got back in the game, eventually took the lead midway through the third quarter.

But solid defending and key baskets down the stretch allowed FCB to cement the victory that puts them on the verge of a berth in the league finals.

Stratos Perperoglou led Barça with 11 points and 5 rebounds, both game highs. Justin Doellman chipped in with 10 points.

Mike James scored 15 points and dished out 4 assists in the losing effort.

Game 3 is set for Wednesday night at 9.00pm CET in the Basque city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
