Àlex Abrines was in stand out form at the Palau / VÍCTOR SALGADO-FCB

Victory was just a breathe away. Barça did their best with the fans behind them faced with a 13 point deficit in the last 12 minutes. Unfortunately, Laboral Kutxa imposed themselves and the game was decided in overtime.

The blaugranes were behind at 38-51 in the third quarter and that seemed a deficit that could never be made up. Bourisis for Laboral led his team to an early lead but the appearance of Abrines changed everything with his 10 unanswered points bringing the blaugranes right back into the game.

Two baskets from Satoransky in succession brought the crowd to their feet and a touch from Lawal saw Barça back in front. Ribas scored that appeared to give the blaugranes the win but a three pointer from Darius Adams took the game into overtime.

In overtime, Xavi Pascual’s team paid the price for their efforts during the game and after Pau Ribas’ effort bounced out, the win for Bilbao was never in doubt.
