Sada, Trias and Jawai await FC Barcelona in Andorra

No fewer than three former FCB men are now plying their trade up in the Pyrenees

FC Barcelona are at Morabanc Andorra on Sunday at 12.30pm (CET), where they’ll be facing three former players in Víctor Sada, Jordi Trias and Nathan Jawai.

The sides met earlier this season in the final of the Catalan League in la Seu d’Urgell, Barça winning 104-93, although Australian Jawai did not feature, for his transfer to Andorra came later.

Sada back to fitness

Víctor Sada left FCB last summer, and was to be a key player at the recently promoted club. A hernia operation on his back meant he was set to miss three months of the season, but he recovered faster than expected and was back to face Movistar Estudiantes. In four games, he has averaged 5.8 points and 3 assists, and a fine display last week against Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro suggests he is finally back to his old self.

Trias, MVP

Jordi Trias was one of the main reasons why Andorra got into the Liga Endesa. He was MVP in the league with 14.9 points and 9 rebounds, and also in the category two cup final, a trophy to add to his 2007 Copa del Rey Final MVP award won with Barcelona. He has played 16 games for Morabanc Andorra this season, averaging 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds.

Jawai back in Liga Endesa

Two years after leaving Barça, Nathan Jawai is back in the ACB league after a relatively discreet period at Galatasaray Liv Hospital, where he missed the Euroleague games with Barça last season due to injury. He joined Morabanc Andorra in December 2014, and in his first four games has averaged 6.3 points and 3.3 rebounds.
