It’s big game time tonight, when Barça visit Real Madrid in the Top 16 round of the Euroleague, looking for a win to bring them level with their great Spanish rivals and provide a great morale booster ahead of the Spanish Cup in a couple of weeks’ time.
With one of the best rosters in the European game, Madrid currently top group E with a 4-1 record and a 12-3 balance in the competition as a whole, having lost just once at home. Reyes leads the scoring, averaging 12 points a game and with a 16.3 valuation, the Spanish international is also the side’s most valued player. Madrid have averaged 86,2 points a game in Europe this year, with Barça averaging 84.
After two good wins at the Palau – against Red Star and Zalgiris Kaunas, Barça, who will again be without Navarro and Olesson, sit in third spot in the group with a 3-2 record. Barça have a 12-8 record against Real Madrid in Europe and won the last two games away from home against them in 2010. The game starts at 8.45pm CET.
