Yet another Spanish Cup Final pits Barça against Real Madrid in what promises to be a veritable feast for the eyes of the fans in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.

Five of the last six have been between the two sides, with two wins each. The Catalans reached the final by beating Unicaja Málaga in their semi-final, while the all-whites got the better of Joventut Badalona.

The opponent

Madrid beat the side from Badalona 100-83, despite trailing at half-time. A 25-8 streak in the third period put them in command, with Llull leading the scoring with 19 points, followed by Rudy (12), Rodríguez (15) and Ayón (13). Madrid have won the trophy a record 24 times, but Barcelona could equal that score if they win today.

The Catalans are in fine form and also came from seven behind to beat Unicaja in their semi. Thomas scored 13 points and Tomic got 10 plus 10 rebounds, while Hezonja, Lampe and Oleson all made important contributions (Barça were +28 with the latter on court).
