Coach Xavi Pascual and the Tournament’s number 1 centre  Ante Tomic were Barça’s representatives at the press conference to present the Euroleague Final Four in Milan this lunchtime.

Getting the basics right could be key

Xavi Pascual is going into his fifth Final Four and he told reporters: “we are very happy to be here – it’s an honour. It’s very hard to figure out which factors will affect the result against Madrid when you have two teams who know each other so well. I’m sure it will be a close game. Getting the basics right, taking our chances and dominating the rebound could make the difference”

Ante Tomic, who was presented with the Tournament’s number 1 centre  award, also spoke about the Real Madrid semi-final: “before we start thinking about winning the title, we have to get past Madrid. This my third Final Four and we have a really tough match ahead of us - let's hope we can win it”.

Rodríguez, Euroleague MVP

Real Madrid point guard Sergio Rodríguez was chosen MVP of the Tournament explained that the team had been doing their homework: “every game is different, but we have been going over the video of the last game against Barcelona, though I don’t think this game will be the same”.

Real Madrid coach Pablo Laso also spoke explaining that his team will: “have to play well, better even than we have been playing all season. We know we are up against a great team”.
