FC Barcelona cruised to a 64-82 victory in Pionir over Partizan Belgrade this Thursday evening.

Sada leads the way

Barça were unrecognisable in the first ten minutes. They fell prey to the Serbians’ slower style of play and long spells of possession. This stopped Barça from imposing their quicker style. The 17-11 reflected how the game was going for the Blaugrana, until Sada changed it all. The Catalan changed the rhythm of the game and led the team to the lead before the break (32-38).

Barça pull away

At the start of the second half, Pullen to control of the game and helped the Blaugrana to a 16-point lead (36-52). The third quarter saw Barça outscore Partizan by 12 to 26 (44-64).

The last ten minutes of the match saw both teams play at a slower pace, but the work had already been done. When Barça needed points, Abrines stepped up to close the game out (55-74). The final 64-82 scoreline gives Barça its fourth victory from six matches in the first phase of the Euroleague.
