Another Final Four, the fifth in six years, the fourteenth in the history of the Club. Barça will spend the month of May in Milan, from the 16th to the 18th. Xavi Pascual’s men will try to win the Club’s third Euroleague title thanks to this evening’s victory over Galatasaray (75-78). Huertas was Barça’s best players this evening.

The Arroyo effect

In the first quarter Galatasaray put Barça to the test. The players, knowing that their leader was on the court, came out swinging from the tip off. Arroyo scored, assisted and constantly found Zoran Erceg in the paint. The 23-15 scoreline at the end of the first quarter was a shot across Barça’s bow, they knew that they had to improve in the second half.

Pullen steps up

In the second quarter, Pullen led Barça on offence. He assisted and scored, and little by little, despite the 28 to 21 on the scoreboard after Macvan’s three pointer, Pullen and Nachbar brought Barça within four points of the lead (32-28). Pascual’s men, who were much more aggressive and active on defence, stopped Arroyo, and came within one point of their rivals (34-33) thanks to a three pointer from Pullen, two free throws from Oleson and Sada’s excellent distributing work. However, a three pointer from Markoishvili gave the home team a five-point lead at the break.

Barça fight back

After the break Barça tied the game up with a three pointer from Álex Abrines (49-49). That’s when Arroyo burst on the scene once again and replied with a three pointer of his own, but Huertas hit back and gave Barça the lead for the first time in the game. The quarter came to an end with 52 to 53 on the scoreboard.

Huertas takes control

In the final 10 minutes, the scoreline went from 52-53 to 57-62 thanks to Huertas. Barça experience proved crucial as the Blaugrana took control of the match in the final minutes. Huertas scored from impossible positions and Dorsey and Oleson, both with free throws, put the game beyond reach. The final score was 75 to 78.
