Convincing +33 point win for Barça against UCAM Murcia at the Palau Blaugrana. The men managed by Xavi Pascual secured their 10th victory in the Liga Endesa and now they’re mathematically closer to being a seeded team in the Copa del Rey.

The 46 points scored from inside the paint and Pullen and Abrines’ accuracy from the exterior were key. Players who don’t usually get playing time like Hezonja and Todorovic enjoyed some minutes on the court.

Powerful interior play

Barça started off the match with the clear intention of dominating the interior. Lorbek and Dorsey scored the first points for the Blaugrana and, thanks to six points from the Slovenian and four more from the American, Barça jumped to a five-point lead. Todorovic, Tomic and, later on, Lampe came in for Lorbek and Dorsey, but the team played the same way: quick ball circulation and finding advantageous positions to shot from. Todorovic scored five points in his first rotation and Tomic netted seven.

Barça's powerful interior play forced UCAM Murcia’s defence to pull back, which opend up space for Pullen, Abrines and Hezonja to fire from range. UCAM Murcia tried to stop Barça with a 2-3 and 3-2 zone, but the teams went to the break with the home team leading by 15 points.

Barça don’t let up

Barça kept up the pace in the second half, and they only needed two minutes to increase their lead to 20 points. Augusto César Lima tried to bring UCAM Murcia back into the match, but Barça were too much. A basket from Tomic at the end of the quarter made it 75 to 47.

In the final quarter Xavi Pascual sent in Pullen, Hezonja and Todorovic, and all three of them put in good performances. The teams finished the match with with 96 to 63 on the scoreboard.
