FC Barcelona will host CB Valladolid (12.30) for the 10th round of the Liga Endesa. The Blaugrana want to return to their winning ways after losing to Unicaja and CSKA Moscow, and ahead of them are the bottom-of-the-table side CB Valladolid, who have only won one match so far this season.

Will history repeat itself?

Xavi Pascual’s men come into the match after having lost in their latest league match against Unicaja and their latest Euroleague match against CSKA Moscow. After two games against two tough opponents, bottom-of-the-table CB Valladolid visit the Palau Blaugrana after securing only one victory so far this season.

A priori, Valladolid are ideal for the Blaugrana to find their winning form, and, if history repeats itself, Valladolid will be made to pay for Barça’s two latest defeats. Of the 38 matches played between the two teams, Barça have won 36 times and lost only twice.

Oleson’s first match in the league

For the first time this season Xavi Pascual has called on all of the players on his roster. With Lorbek’s return a few weeks ago and Oleson’s return on Thursday, the manager now has two players who have been out of action for a long time. Brad Oleson, who returned to the team on Thursday and scored 14 points, could feature in his first league match of the season.

Kostas Papanikolaou came down with the flu which stopped him from playing in the Russian capital on Thursday, but Alex Abrines was able to play although he had a fever. Depending on their respective recoveries, the two players could be available against Valladolid.

The rival

Valladolid are the team in the league that score the least amount of points (67.33) and the team that concede the most (85.11). The Pucela have seen a lot of players come and go over the last two seasons, and just this week they brought in Nikola Cvetinovic. They lost their star player this season, Nacho Martín, but they brought in the Serbian Danilo Andjusic, a specialist in three-point shots.
