Barça agains suffered from a lack of consistency, as they went down in Moscow this evening. Their hosts had gone in with an eleven point lead at the break(42-31), but Barça hit back with some inspired play form Brad Oleson, making his return after a two month absence, but the Russians turned the screw in the final quarter to run out 79.65 winners - a result that also gave them the better basket average netween the two.

Russians push home their advantage in the final quarter

After a close first quarter which Barça just edged 20-21  Vorontsevich and Fridzon took control for CSKA and with a partial of 14-3, took them to a 42-31 lead at the break. Barça came back re-charged though and with Brad Oleson clocking up the points, they took a 45-49 lead, before the Russians reasserted themselvesand pressed home their advantage to run out winners by fourteen points - a result that means Barça are going to find it very tough to take second place in their group.
