Barça Regal take on UCAM Murcia at 19.00 on Sunday evening in search of their first league win of the campaign and close out a successful week that has seen wins over the Dallas Mavericks, in Tuesday’s friendly at the Palau Sant Jordi and the Euroleague win over Brose Basket Bamberg two days later.

Saras and Navarro

The return of the Lithuanian and the team captain proved key to the side getting back to their best and getting their game together in midweek and with the improving Tomic and Jawai looking dominant under the basket, Xavi Pascual’s men can go into the game in fine fettle and with plenty of confidence, despite the two early season defeats.

Third quarter blues

The third quarter was the team’s Achilles heel in those first two defeats, with scores of 9-22 against Blancos Rueda de Valladolid and 20-9 against Gescrap Bilbao Basket and the coach will have been working hard to ensure his players do better this time around.

Visitors 1-1 record

UCAM Murcia come into the game with a 1-1 record having seen off Cajasol 77-93 - with a 77% success shot rate for two pointers – whilst losing at home to Valencia Basket (77-78), in a game where they lost the advantages they had taken in the first and third quarters in the second and final 10 minutes.
