Barça Regal took a giant step towards the Finals of the Liga Endesa but Pascual warned that “this Friday will be a very difficult match. The series is not over, not by a long shot.” The Barça manager did say, however, that he’s very pleased with how his team played this Wednesday: “we’re pleased with this important victory because it means that we’ve won back home-court advantage.” He added: “we played an extraordinary match as a team in every regard.”

On Navarro’s performance, Pascual said that the Barça captain was vital: “he was key in getting that initial advantage. He wasn’t feeling too well after the last game but today, he was fine. We’re very pleased with his performance but we have to give him a little bit of time.”

On the possible complaints stemming from the referee’s performance, the manager explained that: “the playoff games are always full of tension. In every playoff match there are complaints from both sides. The team that loses usually complains a bit more. It’s hard to referee these types of games.”

Navarro, Ndong and Rabaseda were a few of the Barça Regal players that attended the press after the match:

Navarro:

“It was a final. I’m very pleased with the victory. I felt comfortable on the court.”

“It went much better today, both on the individual and collective level. This Friday we have to follow the same trajectory.”

“It was a coincidence that I came out and we took the lead. On the last match, however, it wasn’t like that.”

“The other series isn’t important to me. We have to be focused on ourselves and try to reach the final.”

Ndong:

“It was very important to win here. We had to respond and that’s what we did.”

Rabaseda:

“We failed at the Palau and we had to come here and win. Now we’re only focused on this Friday’s match. If we win, we’ll be in the final.”
