The Euroleague has opened up voting for this season’s best stating five of the continental competition. The list of 51 nominees has a definite Azulgrana tone as Barça Regal, along with CSKA, is the team with the most nominees (5).

Barça Regal have 5 nominees on the 51-name list that aspire to be named to the best team of the Euroleague. The Best 5 will be announced a week ahead of Istanbul’s Final Four, which will be played from May 11th through the 13th. Marcelinho Huertas, Juan Carlos Navarro, Chuck Eidson, Pete Mickeal and Erazem Lorbek are Barça Regal’s nominees. In Navarro’s case, if he’s picked for the Best 5, it would increase his legendary status in Europe. It would be the Barça captain’s sixth individual acknowledgment after being named to the Top 5 in 2005/06, 2006/07, 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11. Lorbek has managed to get onto the Top 5 list on two occasions: 2008/09 and 2009/10.
