Ingles, against Caja Laboral / PHOTO: FCB

It’s a big game between the first and third place teams - Barça Regal and Caja Laboral-who have also been the finalists in three of the last four finals of the ACB. It should be a spectacular match up with Xavi Pascual’s team looking to ensure top spot and Dusko Ivanovic’s men chasing second place Madrid, who have two more wins to their name than the Basques.

Nine straight wins

With just 15 days to go until the Final Four in Istanbul, Barça Regal begin the business end of the season in top form, having won their last nine games on the trot - six in the ACB and the three European quarter finals and most recently the big win over in Unicaja in Màlaga (57-89). It’s just as tough a job tonight for Barça, who face Caja Laboral – the second best defensive team in the ACB, with just 68,7 points a game conceded, against 64,4 by Barça Regal.

Prigioni and San Emeterio both out

Caja Laboral come to Barcelona without two of their key players - Prigioni and San Emeterio, who are both injured. Ivanovic’s team also need to sort out their bad run on the road, having lost their last three away games: 81-73 against Lagun Aro, 72-71 to Lucentum Alacant and 72-70 away to Assignia Manresa).

Historically, Barça Regal have beaten Caja Laboral in 27 of the 42 games between the two teams at the Palau Blaugrana, but the Basques won this season’s game at home , winning 71-60 in a game that saw Navarro injured in the first quarter.
