The solidarity of the supporters clubs make Barça a reference point in terms of sport, innovation, internationalisation and solidarity

The Global Confederation of Supporters Clubs has brought all 1,200 fan clubs together to provide help and support to those who most need it.

During 2016, FC Barcelona's supporters clubs have promoted a large number of events to express solidarity helping make Barça a reference point in terms of sport, innovation, internationalisation and solidarity.

However, the majority of these events were born out of personal initiatives responding to difficult situations where they are.

For this reason, lots of supporters clubs work to raise funds for local NGOs and participate in food, clothes, toys and school material collections.

Another example of this focus on solidarity is seen in the participation of the Confederation and individual clubs in the Members Solidarity Day in 2015, in which 10,000 people were mobilised all over Catalonia. It is also worth mentioning the help provided by the Athens supporters club to Syrian refugees and the football tournament organised to raise money for the investigation into the Duchenne illness organised by the Barcelona East supporters club.

Finally, a recent example of solidarity was a game played last Sunday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper between FC Lampedusa St.Pauli of Hamburg, a team formed of African refugees, and a youth team from the PB Vallirana supporters club, which is a part of the Global Confederation of Supporters Clubs.
