Barça fans enjoyed two exciting days in the British capital, culminating in Barça's win over Arsenal

In one of the most attractive landscapes in football and before a grand rival like Arsenal, Barça’s fans responded, as always, with an exemplary gathering. With 3,000 tickets available, including 500 for supporters clubs, the fans were able to enjoy a great game of football between one of history’s great teams, Arsenal, and the reigning European champions, FC Barcelona. A total of 230 Barça supporters clubs from all over Europe were present at Arsenal Stadium, record attendance for a Champions League game.

The Penya Blaugrana London of Great Britain was once again a model host, successfully organising a eighty-person dinner on Monday 21st of February at Bar&Co, the supporter’s club’s official headquarters, on the banks of the River Thames. The event was attended by Social Commission director, Josep Maria Barnils, the president of the World Supporters Clubs Confederation, Antoni Guil, president of the supporters club, Eduard Manas, and the president of the Federació de Penyes del Barcelonès Est, Jordi González.

On Tuesday, during the hours before the match, the London supporters club organised a large gathering at the iconic Covent Garden. More than 150 people met in one of the area’s pubs to rev the engines before the Champions League match between Arsenal and FC Barcelona.

At 5.00pm local time, fans with tickets went to Arsenal Stadium where they saw Leo Messi score two goals to put Barça on track for the quarter-finals.
