The Penya movement visited Cruyff Memorial Cruyff to show its condolences and respect for one of the greatest legends in FC Barcelona history

The president of the World Confederation of Penyes, Antoni Guil, visited the Cruyff Memorial at the Camp Nou, where he was received by first vice-president of FC Barcelona, Jordi Cardoner i Casaus and director Pau Vilanova.

The movement wished to pay its respects to football legend Johan Cruyff, the former FC Barcelona player and coach. The Penyes were represented by different presidents of Federations and a number of different clubs made their way to the Club premises to pay their last farewells to the great Dutchman

The supporters movement lay a floral tribute in the space located in the main grandstand, where thousands of people have passed over the last few days, including some of the most important figures in Catalan sport and institutions.

Statement by Antoni Guil, president of the World Confederation of FC Barcelona Penyes:

“We must perpetuate the legacy that has been left by Johan to Bará supporters and those who love football”

“The supporters movement has grown thanks to footballers and people like Johan Cruyff”

“A more important factor than titles was his way of seeing and living football. This has enabled later generations to make such great achievement in modern football history”
