New crests before routing Rayo

After the launch of the World Confederation on Friday, Saturday was also a lively day for the supporters movement.

Four meetings on the way

Board member Pau Vilanova represented FC Barcelona before 300 people in the Auditori 1899, along with Josep M. Barnils where four regional meetings were presented.

The first was the XXV Xuntanza de Peñas Gallegas to be held in Burela on June 13, and the president of the Peña Barcelonista Burela, Ramon Lestegas, and Salvador Cerviño, president of the Galician federation, made the presentation.

Then the Peña Barcelonista de Ermua El Centenario presented the VII Trobada de Penyes de Euskal Herria on March 13. Jose Manuel Sabugo, president of the club and Gorka Muñoz, president of the Basque federation gave the details.

The Valencia meeting will be on March 28 in Albalat de la Ribera, namely the X Aplec de Penyes Barcelonistes de les Comarques de València i Marina Alta. The president of that federation, Salvador Torres, was the man who presented the poster.

Finally, the I Trobada de Penyes de l’Empordà i la Catalunya Nord will be held in Torroella de Montgrí on March 28. Lluís Grau, president of the Penya Barcelonista Montgrí i Comarca and also of the federation, was the representative.

Crests, goals and Liga lead

There were also inaugurations of four new crests. The Penya Barcelonista Puigverd de Lleida have theirs at gate 101. Social Commission director Jordi Durà did the honours along with club president Claudio Bosch. At gate 72, a club from another town in Lleida, the Penya Barcelonista La Clamor d’Almacelles had their moment, with their president Javier Navarro doing the honours.

The other two crests were unveiled at gate 44, two sister clubs, namely the Penya Almogàvers and the Penya Blau-grana Almogàvers Empordà. Supporters Clubs Commission director Griselda Soteras was joined by the two presidents, Albert Yarza and Marc Sàez.

After that, everyone went into the stadium and got to enjoy the 6-1 win against Rayo Vallecano, and Barça returning to the top of the league table.
