Big day for PB do Barbanza

The Galician supporters club had plenty to do in the build-up to the game with Atlético

Sunday was an unforgettable day for the Peña Barcelonista do Barbanza, from Boiro in La Coruña. At midday, 40 members of the club were in the Palau Blaugrana to watch the basketball team beat league leaders Unicaja.

In the build-up to the Barça v Atlético Madrid match, they were led by their president, Marcelino Sánchez, to be welcomed by director Pau Vilanova, and Social Commission member Jordi Durà. The informal gathering in the Social Building included a homage to three club members who disappeared in the Paquito nº2 shipwreck off the Galician coast.

They then went to gate 91 to the Camp Nou to unveil their crest. Vilanova, Durà and Sánchez did the honours, and the club emblem is now proudly forming part of Barça architecture.

The evening could not have ended in finer fashion, with Barça winning 3-1 against Atlético.
