The second day of the World Congress of FC Barcelona Supporters Clubs 2013 started with a speech from president Sandro Rosell, at which he praised the movement, saying that “me and the whole of the Board feel proud of the way it works, you are the projection of Barça around the world, our ambassadors”.

New figures were announced. There are 1,354 officially registered FCB supporters clubs, with a total of 138,454 members.

A growing family

The president announced that the Club has big plans for the future. “The supporters movement is tidier now and that’s gives us more security and makes us keen to keep working” he said. “It is fantastic to see more than 1,000 members here, these meetings are great for the growth of the family”.

Rosell said that the Congress “is an event that we can’t stop holding and we’ll try to keep the Congress on the same date as the Gamper”.

Moments of silence

Before the Congress started, Sandro Rosell asked for a few moments silence in memory of supporters and their relatives that have passed away this year, and also for the victims of the tragedy in Galicia and, very especially, Antoni Ramallets.
