Carme and Lleó de Dues Cues, protagonists before the big win

Two supporters clubs unveiled their plaques at the stadium shortly before the game between FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. These were the last of 2012, and couldn’t have come at a better time, with the first and second placed clubs doing battle at the Camp Nou.

The Penya Blaugrana de Carme was first, on the Lateral South Ramp, where their president, Joan Carles Còdol, was joined by director of the Supporters Clubs Commission, Xavier Ilincheta, to pull back the first curtain of the night. They were also joined by Jordi Abellán, delegate to the Advisory Council in Anoia, Penedès and Garraf.

Next up was the Penya Barcelonista Lleó de Dues Cues from the Czech Republic. Some thirty members had made their way from Celadna to see the game, and from now on the club’s name will be present on the stadium in honour of their dedication to FC Barcelona. This time Xavier Ilincheta was joined by the president of the supporters club, Valdemar Adamis, and the delegate to the Advisory Council for the rest of the world, Antonio Freire.

The day couldn’t have ended in better fashion, with Barça putting four goals past the mattress-makers to go nine points clear at the top of the table, with Messi further extending his incredible record.
