Penyes again show their solidarity

As the season draws to a close, the penyes have again showed their solidarity. During the Congrés de Penyes Barcelonistes d’Andalusia, Ceuta i Melilla, which was held in Andújar last October, Club vice-president Jordi Cardoner i Casaus met David Arranz, a 10-year-old boy with cerebral paralysis.

David had a dream: he wanted to meet his idols, Andrés Iniesta and Leo Messi. The Peña Deportiva Barça de Andújar organised for the youngster to visit the Camp Nou when Barça played Athletic Bilbao and he was able to meet his heroes in person.

Last week it was the turn of José Manuel Pozo, a nine-year-old with learning difficulties who, thanks to the help of the Peña Barcelonista Castillo de Lopera was able to come and join in the celebrations for the league title at the Camp Nou last weekend and also meet some of the players.

The Departament de Penyes together with the Oficina d’Atenció Especialitzada, do their best to bring a smile to these young penya members with special needs - a task that does a lot of good and is priceless and one which the penyes carry out to perfection.
