The first plenary of the Supporters Clubs Advisory Council in 2013 was held this Saturday morning at Camp Nou’s Avantllotja Lateral, attended by vicepresident Jordi Cardoner i Casaus, in which the task carried out up until today was reviewed. Chief director of the Social Commission Pau Vilanova and director of the Social Commission and responsible for international supporters clubs Josep M Barnils also attended the meeting, along with supporters clubs ombudsman Ramón Térmens. Most of the delegates of the Supporters Clubs Advisory Council were also present in the event

After the plenary session, which started at 10 am, the delegates are having lunch at Auditori 1899, and will visit the new premises of the Club’s Social Area.

Penyes census and reorganization in federations

During the plenary, both parties dealt with two core issues. Firstly, the penyista census has been overseen: a process that started last november and all supporters club must submit before the end of this season, via the online tool available at the club’s website. The second core issue has been the reorganization of the penyes movement, which is to become divided in 30 different territorial federations, so “all supporters clubs are represented in meetings” as Jordi Cardoner explained.

Blaugrana vicepresident also highlighted the importance of supporters clubs as one of the “Club’s distinctive features” stating that “the penyes movement and Club, must understand that raising the ‘penya’ brand is a process that must be worked on”. As a conclusion, Cardoner told the delegates they were to know the premises of the Social Area. The vicepresident concluded that “these premises are product of a qualitative improvement of our spaces, keeping their history, so as to offer better service to our members”.
