Jordi Cardoner, durant l'acte.

Jordi Cardoner, vice president of the Social Area, and Pau Vilanova, director in chief of the Social Commission, were welcomed on Saturday at the Seròs Town Hall by the president of the local FCB supporters club, Xavier Baró, and the mayor, Gabriel Pena. Before the Meeting got under way, Cardoner signed the guest book in a municipality that was hosting the VII Meeting of South Lleida and Franja de Ponent Supporters Clubs, doubling as the Seròs clubs tenth anniversary.

Festive atmosphere

One hundred and eighty five people attended the event, where the festive mood was constant. A total of 27 clubs had representatives, and it all started with a one and half hour discussion of the latest affairs at Barça. Once the debate was over, there was a supper in the hall next door, where institutional plaques were presented to each of the visiting clubs.

Jordi Cardoner thanked those present for making him feel so welcome, and also explained his family connections in this part of the country. To end the VII Meeting of South Lleida and Franja de Ponent Supporters Clubs, he encouraged all of the guests to continue promoting the Barça name, and also asked for a minute’s silence in memory of former player Lluís Aloy.
