Silvio Elías and Amador Bernabéu with O Grove Supporters Club

The city of O Grove, in Pontevedra, hosted the 22nd Galicia supporters' clubs meeting, also known as the Xuntanza this weekend. Silvio Elías, Director of the Economic and Strategic Area and Amador Bernabéu, the Club’s delegate for relations with UEFA both attended the event.

Barça’s current situation as main course

The event began with a round table about the Club’s current situation and Elías and Bernabéu took an active part, with particular stress on the sporting side. Carlos Prol, President of the Peña Barcelonista O Grove, who hosted the event, and the delegate of the Advisory Council for Galicia, Salvador Cerviño also attended.

At the end of the talk, the Barça ex-player Francisco José Carrasco presented his biography and the night finished with a gala supper attended by 100 people.

The main events of the Xuntanza began on Sunday morning when the Club representatives were greeted by the town Mayor Miguel Ángel Pérez. The president of the host penya and the delegate for the zone to the Consell Consultiu also attended

After leaving the Town Hall, there was a display of standards in which almost all the Galician penyes took part and then a trip down the Rías Baixas by boat, which finished with a celebratory meal with over 300 people attending what has become a traditional event held every June.
