Inauguration of the Peña Barcelonista de Banfield y Lomas

The supporters clubs took advantage of the break from league action this weekend to organise a whole host of activities – 19 in all, with 14 anniversaries and 3 inaugurations taking place over the last week.

Events everywhere

Although most of the events were held in Catalonia and Spain, there were also celebrations abroad, with the Penya Barcelonista La Múnia celebrating its 26th anniversary with Supporters Clubs Commission director Dani Sala in attendance.

The La Granada and Bon Pastor clubs both celebrated 30 years of existence, with Social Commission director Enric Tombas and Dani Casanovas from the Supporters Clubs Commission both present at the former and Social Area Director Pilar Guinovart at the latter. La Peña Barcelonista El Bierzo also celebrated their 29th anniversary.

Comissió Esportiva Director Josep Castellà was at the 36th anniversary of la Penya Barcelonista Blaugrana Gavanenca and his colleague Santi Casas attended the 38th anniversary of the Penya Barcelonista Plana Vic, whilst Elvira Pou, of the Supporters Clubs Commission represented the Club at the 19th anniversary of the Penya Blaugrana Viladecans.

The Penya Blau-Gran La Roca del Vallès celebrated its 34th anniversary at an intimate ceremony. Meanwhile, the Penya Blaugrana de Sant Cugat celebrated 32 years with Josep Ramón Vidal-Abarca, director of the Economic and Strategic Area and former handball player David Barrufet among the guests.

Xavier Ilincheta, Social Commission director, was there on Saturday for the inauguration of the Penya Blau-grana de Nulles, and the day after was at the 14th anniversary of the Penya Barcelonista de Navarcles. Also, Jordi Durà, director of the Social Commission visited the Txema Corbella club in Nalec.

The Penya Blaugrana de Llubí organised a duathlon as part of the Fira de Sa Mel. The Peña Barcelonista de Roldán participated in a sports awards gala. The Peña Barcelonista Banfield y Lomas was officially opened in the town of Lomas de Zamora, in Argentina.

Three half centenarians

Besides the celebrations for the 53rd anniversary of the PB Poble Nou, two more clubs who have passed the 50 mark were celebrating this weekend: the Joan Gamper d’Amposta marked 52 years and the Penya Barcelonista Vilanova 51, with the Director of the Comissió de Penyes Manel Torrentallé present at the latter’s event.

In addition, the Peña Barcelonista de Segorbe celebrated its 49th anniversary, in the presence of Supporters Clubs Commission director Griselda Soteras.
