The president of the Supporters Clubs World Confederation, Antoni Guil, preside the work session at the Supporters Clubs World Congress on August 10 to present the Penyes Segle XXI 2016-21 project that sets the road map for the movement over the next few years.

Antoni Guil spoke about the new organisational plan for the Confederation, Federations and Penyes, as well as the sponsorship plan that should generate extra income and the communication plan to foster and disseminate the movement.

The managing director of Supporters Clubs World Confederation, Joan Camps, then gave a speech before three commissions answered questions formulated beforehand by members of different clubs.

The president of FC Barcelona was joined later in the day by first vice-president primer Jordi Cardoner and directors Pau Vilanova, Jordi Moix and Maria Teixidor as well as the president of the Confederation Antoni Guil and the Ombudsman Ramon Térmens.

Director Maria Teixidor presented the Edelmira Calvetó award to two club presidents: Maria Antònia Milà and Jordina Font to much applause from the auditorium.

The new members of the FC Barcelona first team then appeared on stage, joined by first team technical secretary Robert Fernández.

Gala Dinner       

The day ended with a gala dinner for the over one thousand guests, with music provided by local act Roser, who has a special Barça themed song prepared.

Also, the first edition of the Edmundo Bazo award was presented to AFEPE for the fostering of friendship, and collected by its president, Pepe Hidalgo. There was also a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Penya Barcelonista de Onda and its president Toni López.
