In her first season with the team, 2014/15, Mariona Caldentey from Mallorca was one of the stand out players of the campaign. A serious knee injury in spring 2015 kept her out of action for six months before she bounced back to regain her old form.

The striker has scored some vitals goals over her career including the extra time winner in the 2018 Copa de la Reina final and the strike which saw Barça through to the final of the 2019 Champions League final. 

Whether off the bench or as a starter, Mariona has been vital to the team's success over recent seasons. 

After making her debut for the national side in 2017, Caldentey picked up her first trophy for Spain as part of the 2023 World Cup winning squad. 

TECHNICAL PROFILE
