A regular in the Brazilian national side, she stands out for her strength and her ability to get into the box

Fabiano Simoes started playing professional football at the age of 15 with América in her native Brazil. Her first club in Europe was Spanish team Sporting Huelva whom she joined in 2007, staying for a season before then playing for Boston Breakers (USA), Santos (Brazil), Rossiyanka (Russia), San José (USA), Tyresö (Sweden), Cento Olímpico (Brazil), Dalian Quanjian (China) and Corinthians in Brazil, her last club before joining FC Barcelona.

With the Brazilian national side Fabiana is one of the first names on the squad sheet and prior to joining the blaugranes she had already featured in more than 70 matches for la canarinha. With Brazil she played in the 2008 Olympic Games where she won a silver medal as well as in the 2012 and 2016 Games. On 30 July 2017 she signed for FC Barcelona.
