FC Barcelona 1-3 Sporting Club de Huelva: Five out of five

The women's team extend their unbeaten start to the league season with a convincing display in western Andalusia

The Barça women’s team have won 3-1 away to Sporting Huelva with goals from Kheira Hamraoui, Alexia Putellas and Vicky Losada.

The Catalans dominated the first half but were unable to turn an incessant flow of quality chances into goals until it was almost time to go in for the break. That was the French midfielder finally broke the deadlock with a fine low-hit strike following a delightful team move, paving the way for a second half when the ladies did what they had to do to.

Alexia continued a marvellous form by heading home a corner and although Flor Bonsegundo did manage to pull one back for the hosts, Barça never looked unfazed and Losada put two goals back between the teams with a stupendously taken free kick.

There was no way back from that for Huelva, and that’s another three points added to the Barça collection.
