FC Barcelona 0-0 Levante: First points dropped

Game postponed from week two ends with no score as Fran Sánchez's side's perfect start to the league season hits a bump

The Barça women have drawn 0-0 in a tight game with Levante, which was originally postponed from week two. Both sides had chances but neither could find the goals.

With three former Barça players in the opposing line-up, Ruth, Corredera and Soni, Levante certainly made things difficult, and the Catalans' only real chance of the first half fell to Andressa Alves.

The second half started with Marta Torrejón getting a fine chance, but play was then held up after a nasty clash that saw Zornoza stretchered off.

Once play finally resumed, there was a new verve to the blaugrana girls, Aitana Bonmatí coming especially close, building up to an intense finish as both teams went in search of the goal that would tip the balance.

Levante came closest when Jessica hit the bar and that was the end of that, with Barça left in second place with 16 points from six games.
