Five times the world player of the year (between 2006 and 2010), Marta Viera da Silva is a widely considered to be a living legend in women’s football. The 31 year old Brazilian striker plays for Swedish side FC Rosengard, who just happen to be Barça’s rivals in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Andressa Alves is 24 years old and in her first season with Barça and her second in Europe after a year at French club Montpellier. The Brazilian’s left foot is one of the blaugranes’ most potent weapons in attack and she already has two goals in four matches in her very first season playing in the Champions League.

The two players are both internationals with Brazil, representing their country in the recent Rio Olympic Games. They are great friends off the pitch and the meeting in the Champions League will be their first on the field.

Both players were put to the test in our video ahead of Wednesday’s clash with between Rosengard and Barça which takes place in Malmö in Sweden with the return leg coming on 29 April at Camp Nou.
