Players celebrate Jennifer Hermoso's opener / VICTOR SALGADO - FCB

FC Barcelona Women recorded a solid 2-0 win at Ciutat Esportiva on Sunday over Fundació Albacete to stay in the hunt for the title.

Xavi Llorens’ side knew that it was a must-win game in order to be in with a shout of winning their fifth straight league title and so put in a display worthy of the circumstance.

Jennifer Hermoso rose to the occasion with a fine solo effort, taking on three players before slotting home the opener on 20 minutes.

Barça continued to dominate and finally got the comfort of a second goal just after the break when Hermoso again had the last say.

Alexia and Hermoso combined well before the latter tucked away her 18th of the campaign to secure the win for the Catalans.
